Platt College Magazine Project
This is a project I did where the goal was to create a monthly magazine for current students and alumni from Platt College in El Cajon. The contents featured interesting articles pertaining to the three main fields of study the school teaches. I chose to go with a cleaner minimal style with the design. I also chose the name "Plattitude" because I simply love puns. I hope you enjoy!
Below is the dividing spread between the 3 major sections that talk about the next field of study. I like how I used the faded background image and created a focal point using just transparency.
This is an example of the beginning of the article about video production. I love how easy it is to read and how the space is balanced with no lingering empty space that distracts the reader.
Another example of the layout in the magazine. Another thing to note is how the style of the page number framing elements remains consistent throughout the magazine while updating on the specific section the reader is turned to.
